Website Design - Our 4 Stage Approach

When it comes to website design and building you a website, we take a structured path to collecting your ideas and opinions to help translate them into a well designed website. We split each stage of the design up to make it easier to manage, which also allows you to see exactly how your website is designed and built. Whilst we offer a wide range of website design packages, the stages that we go through for each website are fairly similar:

Stage 1

Requirements

The first stage of any website design is to find out why you want a website. This will help us understand what your goals are and help us design the site around your requirements and success factors.

We'll also discuss who you are designing the website for. Knowing your target audience is one of the key factors to making a successful website, and identifying the typical visitor will help us draw up a plan of how to acheive this success.

We'll also find out if there is any specific functionality you need. Do you need to be able to update the website yourself, are there any applications like blogs, forums or shops that you want?

Stage 2

Design & Layout

You may have a good idea of how you want your website designed, or you might want to leave the entire design up to our skilled designers. Either way, our professional designers will work together with you to design a website that portrays your company and what you want your website to represent.

We can design a website that follows your corporate styles, colours and layout or we can come up with a completely customisable style, tailored to your exact requirements, that reflects how you and your company want to be perceived. All of our designs will conform to the latest technical standards, as well as being accessible, easy to navigate and pleasing to the eye.

Stage 3

Content

Once the website has been designed to your requirements, we'll give you access to your development website where you can bring your design to life and create whatever content you want.

We'll also help you structure the content so that it is optimised for search engines (SEO) to make sure you get the best possible exposure to attract visitors to your website. We can help you structure the content to make sure it is well presented, easy to read and portrays the right message.

If you need assistance or guidance with any of your website content, we can also help you by providing proof reading, copywriting and writing services.

Stage 4

Promotion

If you want people to visit your website, you'll need to promote it. This involves both Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to boost your website's profile in the major search engines, and online promotion and marketing to help get your site noticed by potential visitors.

As well as being able to promote your newly designed website online, we can offer you a wide range of suggestions that have proven to dramatically increase traffic to our clients websites on a regular basis.

We can also provide regular analytical information on how many people visit your website, how they found you, where they are from and how they browsed your website.

Google appear to be testing out a new search page that doesn't give the user the option to perform a search local to their home country. It also seemed to be only testing this out with Google Chrome and, as far as we can tell, it doesn't appear to have been documented anywhere.
